Consultation report finalised

On 21 November 2001, the Federal Council discussed the results of the consultation about the draft law on Radio and Television and mandated DETEC to draw up the explanatory report (legal message) to the draft law.

In the consultation about the project of a new Law on Radio and Television, some 206 answers were returned. The majority of them are supportive of the main line of the revision project. Critical opinions are mainly voiced against the practical aspects of the implementation of the objectives. The Federal Council has mandated the Federal Department of Environment, Transports, Energy and Communication (DETEC) to draw up a legal message to the Parliament. DETEC will take this opportunity to further examine the arguments put forward in the consultation process.

The report is available only in German, French or Italian. Please click on the desired language above in the Navigation Menu.
The 206 comments from cantons, parties, associations, radio and TV stations and other organisations are available to read at Ofcom.
