Billing change from 1.1.2011: financial implications
|million CHF||million CHF|
|Pre-paid fees (2012)||0||165|
|SRG fee revenue (adjusted)||1169||1175|
In the year 2011, CHF 165 million more was paid in reception fees than in 2010. The reason for this is that since 1 January 2011 a single bill has been sent out for reception of radio and television, instead of the previous four quarterly bills. This change has resulted in part of the fees being charged in advance for the following year.
As a result of this change, the SRG received fees for the year 2012 earlier. Over the years, however, the SRG will not receive more money.
