Knight of Communication reward

Information society for all

The technologies of information and communication technolgies (ICT) have a big impact on the communication between indivuals making the exchange of information independant of place and time and the access to knowledge global.

But not for everybody: in 2006, the generation "over 50 years" has used internet only for 41 percent, compared to the generation of persons between 14 and 29 years with 84 percent. There are clear differences in the use of internet concerning age, income, level of education, gender and linguistic region. This digital divide creates an imbalacne. The "Knights of Communication" reward applies for a fair and self-determinated information society for all.
