Free licence equipment

Wireless microphones and other applications such as CB, pagers or radar equipments on inland navigation vessels are no longer subject to the licensing regime. This is the conclusion reached by OFCOM as part of the review of its activities. This liberalisation was the subject of the revision of ordinances which entered into force on 1 January 2013. Since the first of January 2016 a PLB must be registered by COSPAS SARSAT as a personal emergency transmitting device.

Information about the above mentioned equipments is only available in German, French or Italian.
