Reception of radio/television programmes is subject to prior registration. However, a registration for television reception does not automatically include a registration for radio reception and vice versa.
The fees are charged regardless of reception of programmes. It is irrelevant whether domestic or exclusively foreign programming, SRG or exclusively other programmes are received. Nor is there any reduction in the reception fee if reception quality is poor or if certain programmes cannot be received at all. It is moreover, immaterial whether reception is via aerial, cable network, internet or satellite.
