Audience survey: programme assessment

An empirical, representative audience survey is regularly conducted to assess the subjective impression that the Swiss media audience has of private and public radio and TV broadcasters' performance. From 2024 onwards, media organisations' reputation among the general public will also be considered.

The survey sample is selected at random and is representative of the population aged 15 and over in the coverage areas of licensed Swiss radio and television broadcasters. Every year, around 3,600 interviews are conducted in German-, French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland. The reports are in German. Management summaries are available in German, French and Italian for all survey years and in English for certain years. This study is currently being conducted by js_studien+analysen and Marketagent.com Schweiz AG in Zurich.
