On the one hand there is "narrowband" PLC technology; this is used in the 9 kHz - 148.5 kHz (< 150 kbit/s) frequency band. On the other hand, we are beginning to speak of "broadband" PLC technology; in frequency terms, this is located between 1.6 MHz and 30 MHz (< 5 Mbit/s).
