SRG licence extended by one year
Bern, 16.08.2017 - On 16 August 2017, the Federal Council extended the SRG licence, without modification, by one year until 31 December 2018. This will give sufficient time to allow the license to be adapted to implement the short-term measures identified by the Federal Council in order to improve the public service in the country. The revised licence will be put out to public consultation at the end of 2017 and will remain in force from 1 January 2019 until the entry into force of a new electronic media act.
