The Networks and Services Section:
- guarantees the universal service
- prepares tender and award procedures for the universal service licence and for nationwide mobile radio licences and implements them
- prepares licensing decisions taken by ComCom
- registers providers of fixed and mobile communication services who are obliged to register
- deals with questions in relation to the provision of fixed mobile communication services
- processes and prepares interconnection decisions
- draws up regulations, implementing provisions and guides concerning emergency calls, the quality of communication services, and the security and availability of networks and services, interference reports, etc.
- exercises supervision over licensees (the universal service, mobile radio) and registered communication service providers
