OFCOM services on new online portal

Interested members of the public and businesses can access a range of OFCOM services via DETEC's new eGovernment portal. Services such as ordering individual numbers, short numbers and number blocks can be accessed at www.uvek.egov.swiss. Users can also notify radio and television programmes, apply for radio and television licences or report radio interference. The existing virtual frontdesk OFCOM Online will be gradually replaced up to 2024.

The Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) telecommunications services are now available on the DETEC eGovernment portal. Holders of individual numbers, short numbers and number blocks, providers of telecommunications services or radio and television broadcasters register using the federal CH-login. Registration is free of charge.

Other OFCOM services on radiocommunication exams and licences are to follow. Meanwhile, these services will remain available on the existing OFCOM Online portal.

A service portal for all DETEC offices

The DETEC eGovernment portal is the central gateway for eGovernment services provided by the entire Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications. It brings together on a single platform all previous digital services of the DETEC offices, and therefore also those of OFCOM. This simplifies cooperation between the Confederation, the cantons, the public, businesses and other organisations.

OFCOM and the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) are piloting the implementation and introduction of the online platform. The portal will be further expanded and supplemented with additional services from various DETEC offices in the coming years.
