2ApplicationPMR 446PMR 446. End user terminals. Integral antenna. Portable use only. Any base station, repeater or fixed infrastructure use is excluded.
PMR 446 frequencies (446.0 - 446.2 MHz) may be used on PMR (Professional Mobile Radio) equipment under the following conditions: for PMR 446 frequencies use, the RIR0507-35 applies except the restriction for integral antenna. For the use of other PMR frequencies, the applicable RIR for PMR equipment applies.

Equipment for PMR 446 and PMR according to PMR RIR0507 may have an antenna connector with max. 0.5 W output power.
8Channel access and occupation rulesTransmitter time-out time: max. 180 seconds.a) all PMR 446 radio equipment shall have reception capability;
b) PMR 446 radio equipment having Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality capable of being latched ''on'' shall apply a 180 seconds maximum transmitter time-out;
c) PMR 446 radio equipment having no Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality shall apply a 180 seconds maximum transmitter time-out and VOX (Voice activation exchange) control.
Techniques to access spectrum and mitigate interference that provide at least equivalent performance to the techniques described in harmonised standards adopted under Directive 2014/53/EU must be used.
9Authorisation regimeSwitzerland: License exempt.
Liechtenstein: General authorisation.
Intended to operate on collective frequencies shared by many users on an uncoordinated basis and NIB / NPB. (Non interference basis / non protection basis).
