Electromagnetic compatibility of heat pumps
Heat pumps are energy-efficient heating systems that are increasingly being used in buildings – but they can cause significant interference to radio services. This is due to electromagnetic interference caused, for example, by insufficient shielding or faulty installation of heat pumps. OFCOM inspects such systems and can impose sanctions, including switch off, in the event of violations. The following information sheet outlines the requirements for the electromagnetic compatibility of heat pumps.
