Explanation of the FM (VHF) reception according to location

The list and the chart show the Swiss transmissions which could potentially be received in a location (Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein). It is only intended as a guide and in no way guarantees the reception quality of such transmissions.
The list is based on a theoretical calculation of a reception signal strength of 60 dbµV/m at a height of 1.50 metres above ground for a distance defined according to the transmitting power and a 25 m resolution terrain model.

10 W 10 dBW 50 km
 100 W 20 dBW 100 km
 1000 W 30 dBW  150 km
>  1000 W 37 dBW 200 km

The location data is provided by the Federal Statistical Office (year 2011) and Swisstopo.
