In 2022, although the number of mobile internet subscribers is relatively stable (+171,867, +1.6%), the volume of downloaded data continues to increase (2022: +18.8%; 2021: +25.0%). Unsurprisingly, if we look at the number of voice communications, use of mobile phones is now largely dominant. Only 14.8% of calls are still made from a fixed phone. Fixed internet remains stable compared with the previous year (-1.7%) with 4,104,233 subscribers and also shows a reduction in copper lines (-5.6%) in favour of fibre optics (+6.3%) and therefore faster connections. Finally, the number of machine-to-machine (M2M) subscriptions has exploded, rising between 2021 and 2022 from 2 million to more than 3.1 million (+54.6%)
