OFCOM's Twitter accounts suspended

Biel/Bienne, 06.10.2020 - The Federal Office of Communications OFCOM has been unable to post tweets since 28 September. Twitter has blocked OFCOM's four accounts without providing any explanation and has not responded to any of the office's requests for information.

OFCOM uses four accounts to communicate via Twitter: bakomCH for information in German, ofcomCH for French, ufcomCH for Italian and ofcomCHen for English. The office has not been able to access any of its feeds since 28 September. Twitter has suspended the accounts without having provided any notification or explanation.

OFCOM is doing everything it can to resolve the situation but to date Twitter has not responded to any requests for information. The office regrets the situation which is beyond its control and apologises to its subscribers. It will continue to publish information on its website or in the form of press releases.
