Audiovisual broadcasting

With the entry into force of the revised Radio and Television Act (RTVA) and the revised Telecommunications Act (TCA) on 1 April 2007, the broadcasting of programme services is regarded as a telecommunication service, like telephony or the internet, for example. Broadcasting is a telecommunications service, the purpose of which is to provide, in real time or "on demand", programmes and/or content intended for the general public.
