Cable network charges

A cable network is a wired network to provide connected subscribers with broadcast programming and telecommunications services. The owner of the house must pay these costs directly to the network operator; they may be passed on to the tenant. Cable network charges are not related to reception fees. They are charged by different bodies.

Sealing off a cable network connection is not related to the mandatory fees for radio/television reception. Even in these cases reception via an aerial or satellite is still possible. Sealing off the connection merely eliminates the charges paid to the cable network operator.
