Study shows influence of Swiss media and social media on opinion-forming

Biel/Bienne, 21.01.2020 - The potential of social media to shape opinion currently remains limited throughout Switzerland. This is the result of the updated Media Monitor Switzerland published by OFCOM on 21 January 2020. Social media has the greatest impact in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, where it plays a similar role to print media in opinion-forming and has more influence than online offerings. The opinion-forming potential of the various media types – print, radio, TV, online – can be seen on the Media Monitor Switzerland interactive website.
