Sustainable mobile phone network

On 13 April, the Federal Council adopted a report in fulfilment of the Häberli-Koller postulate (19.4043; Sustainable mobile phone network). The purpose is to examine how mobile phone networks could be made more sustainable with a view to achieving optimal radiation protection and ensuring that 5G and future technologies can be rolled out within a reasonable period of time. Ways of promoting data transmission by means of optical fibre should also be identified in the process.
