Hearing on the partial revision of the Ordinance on Radio- and Television (RTVO)
Biel/Bienne, 16.02.2012 - The revision of the RTVO sets out to improve the financial situation of those regional television stations with a public service mandate. Furthermore, digitisation of the cable network will be facilitated by removing the analogue transmission obligation. The Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) is submitting the draft of the revised Ordinance on Radio- and Television (RTVO) for consultation. Interested parties have until 30 March 2012 to submit their comments to the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM).
