Start / End

The obligation to pay fees begins on the first day of the month after the reception equipment is brought into operation and ends on the last day of the month in which cessation of use is notified.

Start

The obligation to pay fees begins on the first day of the month after the reception equipment is brought into operation. Retrospective notification of putting equipment into operation will involve a repayment obligation.

End

Notification of cessation of operation of reception equipment must be made in writing. This can be done by mail, by email or via the internet (www.billag.ch). The obligation to pay fees ends on the last day of the month in which cessation of use has been notified (example: cessation notified on 6.08.2004, end of obligation to pay fees 31.08.2004). A notification which requests retrospective cessation of operation of reception equipment cannot be accepted.

Anyone who continues to have equipment which is able to receive despite notification of cessation of operation of reception equipment is liable to a fine.
